The Police play a vital role within any criminal justice framework, and the test of their efficiency lies in the reduction of crime. This paper points to the issues with the criminal codes and procedures in Indonesia, Sri Lanka, and Cambodia, the role of the Police institution as the entity of law enforcement and highlights the fact that bad laws inevitably lead to bad policing.
